1. Choose the Best Video Encoder
The encoder handles the heavy lifting of converting your gameplay into video data in real time.
- NVIDIA NVENC H.264: The best encoder if you have an NVIDIA graphics card. It uses a dedicated chip on your GPU, saving your CPU for high-fps gameplay.
- x264 (CPU): Uses your computer processor. Select this only if you have a high-end CPU and your GPU is struggling.
- AMD AMF: Select this if you use an AMD graphics card.
2. Bitrate Guidelines by Upload Speed
Your bitrate determines your video stream quality. Ensure your upload speed is at least **30% faster** than the bitrate you configure in OBS.
